Red Zone

Summit Perimeter

Hôtel Royal, Press Centre, Heads of State venues

  • Accredited delegations only
  • Official press with summit accreditation
  • Operational staff with summit badges
  • No QR code grants entry
  • Your chauffeur cannot enter this zone
Blue Zone

Extended Protection Zone

Évian, Neuvecelle, Publier

  • QR code pass required for all persons over 13
  • Hotel guests must show confirmed reservation
  • Each passenger needs an individual QR code
  • Each chauffeur also needs individual QR code
  • Checkpoint waits up to 60 minutes at peak windows
  • Obtain via Haute-Savoie prefecture in advance

How to obtain the QR code

The G7 Pass is issued by the Haute-Savoie prefecture. Hotel guests need a confirmed booking. Employees need an employer certificate. Obtain before arriving, it cannot be issued at the checkpoint. Platform: haute-savoie.gouv.fr

ProviderCoverage and Notes
Swiss Limousine ServiceG7 accreditation since 2003. NDA drivers. Mercedes fleet. Geneva, Lausanne, Montreux to Évian. swisslimousineservice.com
Swiss Rent a CarVIP transfers from Geneva, Zurich, Basel, Lausanne, Montreux. Delegation and corporate fleet coordination. swissrentacar.ch

Brief your clients on this

  • Chauffeur drops passengers at nearest permitted access point — not at hotel entrance if inside Red Zone
  • Each passenger needs their own QR code — driver accreditation does not cover passengers
  • Allow 30 to 60 minutes extra for checkpoint clearance on 15 to 17 June
07

Crew Hotels

Geneva is not a realistic crew base during summit week — fully booked and complicated by border restrictions. Annecy is the most practical corridor for crews operating from NCY.

Annecy, Recommended

L'Impérial Palace

4 star. Allée de l'Impérial, Annecy. Lake views. Casino and spa. Closest quality hotel to NCY airport.

Annecy, Recommended

Rivage Hôtel and Spa

4 star. 33 Avenue du Petit Port, Annecy. Indoor pool, full spa, 24h business services. Lake position.

Annecy, Good value

Le Pélican

4 star. 20 rue des Marquisats, Annecy. Lakeside, restaurant and bar. Walking distance to old town.

Thonon, Outside restricted zone

Thonon-les-Bains corridor

Just outside the Blue Zone. Accessible by road. Good option for crews needing proximity to Évian without QR code complications.

Important note on Évian hotels

Hotels inside the Blue Zone remain open but guests must obtain a QR code in advance using their confirmed booking as proof. Without the pass they cannot pass the checkpoint. The Hôtel Royal is the official summit venue and unavailable.
