Gulfstream GV (G5)
“The Gulfstream GV, often referred to as the G5, set a new benchmark for ultra long range private jets when it entered service, combining intercontinental range with the hallmark Gulfstream blend of luxury, speed and reliability.”
Introduction & Fun Facts
The Gulfstream GV, introduced in the late 1990s, was the aircraft that established Gulfstream as the leader in ultra long range business aviation. With a range of 12,000 km, the G5 allowed nonstop flights such as New York–Tokyo or Paris–Bangkok, making it the preferred choice of Fortune 500 companies, governments and high profile individuals.
It was the first business jet to receive FAA and JAA certification for operations at up to 51,000 ft, ensuring smooth flights above commercial traffic and adverse weather. Its proven reliability and Gulfstream’s signature large oval windows make the GV an enduring classic in long haul private travel.
